Twenty-four eager academy participants congregated at Solvay’s state-of-the-art new building on Rooseveltlaan in Brussels in anticipation of the culmination of 7th edition of TransConstellation Academy. After a light lunch was taken, the first group took to the floor in the crowed auditorium.

TransConstellation takes LEAN to the Stage

Brussels, 23 November 2010 – TransConstellation, a non-profit company set up with members including Atos Worldline, The Bank of New York Mellon, SWIFT, Euroclear (and most recently Isabel), hosted its inaugural conference in partnership with the Solvay Business School and Brussels Metropolitan. TransConstellation Chairman, Ignace R. Combes, welcomed an expectant audience of over 100 people to the Hitchcock room in the Marivaux conference centre in Brussels. Under the spot-light was the topical management methodology of: “LEAN Management in the services industry.”

Finally, we are all set to begin the second TransConstellation Academy module. Despite the adjustment to daylight savings time, an early start put us all in the right mood, ready for the next quantum leap in our professional lives: Managing risk and Project management. I’ve been told that March-en-Famenne is a truly beautiful place, however, after two weeks attending the Academy I am unable to confirm this as I’ve yet to see the town in daylight.
